I hate looking at cute clothes (online especially) and then I try them on and realise I don’t have anything to fill it out.

Thin privilege does not exist. Thin shaming does. There is little to now support for women who are bullied for being born thin due to the media’s false acclaim that thin bodies are superior. Too many people are still under the impression that being thin comes with some sort of v.i.p pass through life. Reality check; “Eat a sandwich” “You’re just a bag of bones” “Your legs are like twigs” “Do you even eat?” This is still bullying, and it weighs just a little more heavily than being called fat, because when you’re born thin, you cannot gain weight. Over weight people have the option to lose it, but thin people have no option but to “get over it” Why is there support for an overweight girl, but none for a thin girl? Because the media has lead you to believe that being thin is a good thing? If this was the case why do we have millions of girls suffering low self esteem when all women, whether big or small should feel as beautiful as they are?
What it all boils down to is that no human being deserves to feel ugly or undesired. No human being deserves to be insecure.

ARTWORK BY HELENA ALMEIDA

The importance of Helena Almeida's oeuvre lies in the fact that it is impossible to confine the formal traits of her personal language within the fixed bounds of artistic disciplines and classifying labels. While it is true that the Portuguese artist expresses herself chiefly through photography.

Fanette Guilloud (France) - Géométrie de l’impossible

Géométrie de l’impossible (Geometry of the impossible) is the new series by French artist and photographer Fanette Guilloud, mixing anamorphosis and street art to create anamorphic illusions. Inspired by the work of Georges Rousse, famous French artist and master of anamorphosis, Fanette transforms the walls and floors of abandoned places by painting geometric shapes.
